‘Dinner in the Dark’
When we eat, we don’t just use our sense of taste. Sight and smell also play a role. So how does the experience of eating change if one of these senses is unavailable and we can’t see the food on the plate in front of us? Can we still identify all the elements of a dish?
Enjoy a meal in obscurity
In collaboration with the Institute for the Blind, the Schlosswirtschaft Schwaige transforms the Kurfürsten Saal at its restaurant into a light-free room for your dinner. Waiters will lead you to your seat in complete darkness and are available at all times to answer any questions you may have.
The Schlosswirtschaft Schwaige then serves you a four-course meal comprising selected dishes that are a feast for the senses. You plunge into obscurity in safety and can explore a new world. But can you guess all the ingredients of the food in your mouth?
Between courses, you can all guess what you just ate. The restaurant also offers a small entertainment program.
‘Dinner in the Dark’ at the Schlosswirtschaft Schwaige will answer all your questions. Enjoy a four-course menu that plays with all your senses.
